Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will become silent in June due to refusal of airport-wide announcements.
This has been done to ensure travellers a stress-free experience thanks to reduction of a background noise level.
In view of this, passengers are kindly asked to check their flight status information, as well as the departure gate information on the airport displays or using their mobile devices. Public emergency announcements and announcements at the departure gate and its surroundings will remain unchanged.
Finnair reminds that boarding at Helsinki Airport usually begins 30 to 60 minutes before the scheduled time of departure depending on the number of passengers and plane sizes, and finishes 15 minutes before the scheduled time of departure.
